Parker Knoll Froxfield

This is the first of two identical chairs that came to me having been rather too well loved by the family cat!

The lacquered woodwork was also showing signs of age and the cushion was no longer giving adequate support.

The client wanted to retain the original features of the chair whilst bringing back its beauty and comfort.

A wooden armchair with a white cushion and a yellow seat cushion, set against a brick wall. In front of the chair is a black mat with some tools including a cordless drill and a leveling tool.

A new platform was fashioned to protect the new cushion, keeping the important Parker Knoll label. The woodwork was stripped, stained and polished allowing it to glow without straying too far from the original finish.

A large piece of light pink foam sits on a white napkin on a black surface, with newspapers in the background.

The client decided they wanted to keep the original style of cushion, with its central seam detail, so a new one was made to fit.
